Mission Ministries Committee
​Mission Ministries oversees the outward ministry of GSLC. This includes any work we do in the community of Peshtigo and surrounding areas and throughout the nation and world. Two council members chair this very active group and work with several dedicated teams for some of the largest ministry opportunities we offer.
Property Committee
Care for the church building, the parsonage where the pastor and family lives, and the grounds around the property are the job of this group. Regular maintenance, semi-annual cleanups in spring and fall, and attending to items that need repair or replacement keeps this committee very active throughout the year.
Community Support Committee
Recognizing the great need and lack of support for hygiene and cleaning items, this committee strives to provide bridge that gap for low-income individuals, those experiencing tragic events like a house fire, and others who are in need of a little extra help. This committee also serves as a connection to help students in our schools and other groups that fall on the fringes. Baskets of hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and a hand-made quilt are delivered quickly after a need is identified.
Congregational Care Committee
While outward mission is the focus of the congregation, we also recognize the need to care for our own souls as well. This committee helps facilitate that inner care by providing opportunities to share meals together, have fun group activities, and keep our kitchen well stocked for times of fellowship.
